One Thing Well

I woke up this morning with tremendous zeal for getting 100 + things done before noon…not going to happen. In fact, in the the midst of an ego centered multitasking assault on my higher knowing I just stopped..ya, just stopped. I let all the balls that I had in the air fall to the ground. Why, because I caught myself missing the joy that comes with completing something and being present for the feel good chemicals that accompany any good follow thru that I can get done and notice that I did-can you relate? Here is what I know, “we” are not feeling as good as we could because we try and do too many different things at one time. Our brains as well as our spirits are missing the peace and natural boost that comes with the success of doing one thing well from beginning to end. Today, take the scary trust walk to the other side where you give yourself permission to simply do and do well…just do the dishes and not watch TV or talk on the phone, just drive your car and do nothing other than focus all your attention on the road….do nothing other than listen to your partner, spouse, beloved, child…listen and be present. Your brain, your body and your soul will soar with this exercise in humility and its power to transform this present moment and your life.
