Back is Beautiful

I love great comebacks…in sports and much more comebacks in life! I am back after losing touch while being more in touch with what I want to learn more about, be better at and share what will move you and me to more fulfilled, alive, aligned and purpose-filled!

I dropped out when our daughter Dakota became very sick and hospitalized with pneumonia. She fought for her life, taught her family and staff a thing or many about attitude and ultimately her healing journey has served us all to trust more in our faith, be more awake to appreciate every day stuff and get clear that right where you are is the perfect place to begin again…to mount a comeback and or simply just get back in the game!

This is my comeback-I am stoked, inspired and honored to share what I believe works to increase optimum “aliveness”! Let’s get after it! Mounted the spin bike at 5:05 am (only person in the gym) all good…knew it was going to be a great day as the first highlight was of my (Red)SOX crushing the Orioles on ESPN! 30 minutes of interval bases spinning followed by 2 miles of stadium stairs on the Stair Mill and it is just barely after 5:30 am…life is good! Created a cool resistance circuit with my body weight for 30 minutes-made my way home to our rental on Venice Beach knowing that IT has nothing to do with will power…BUT everything to do with willingness-just say yes to what your body, mind and soul desire which is to be moved and get after it with gratitude and grit!

Crushed my nutritional recovery window with a mix1 Acai Pomegranate and dreamed up a powerful paleo pancake recipe…love pancakes (genetic predisposition from my Vermont roots)! How paleo? No grains, no sweetener..yes, no maple syrup…almond butter is a very good alternative! Sweet potato flour, coconut flour, egg whites, cinnamon and almond milk…onto the skillet with lower heat to let them cook all the way thru. These will pack power into your day-nutrient dense and tastey! Here’s what they looked like:

My intention for today is to be inspired by the choices that I make and when I crawl in to bed I feel peace, gratitude and truly tired from using my gifts fully. My wife Debra and I read that “you are alive to the degree in which you serve”! Let’s co commit to becoming lights out ALIVE!

    Hi James & Debra!
Love the saying “You are alive to the degree in which you serve!” Glad you are back James…Debra – hope you are doing well and glad to hear that Dakota is good!

I am happy to report that as of June 16th, I began a journey of swimming! I took lessons to learn to swim with my head in the water (wow…at 55 I did this) and I’m at the pool 5-6 times a week. I take Sundays off usually to attend 2 church services at Mile High but sometimes I can squeeze one in between early and late evening services. Tried the spin bike last week and I ask…..”how much padding do I need to put on that seat so I don’t feel the pain in the rump for days!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol….I have enough padding there but I think I’m taking a big fluffy towell and wrapping it on the seat. YOWER….:)

Still drinking my good ole mix 1 daily. Just couldn’t do my day without it – always after my 6a swim! I’m up to 1/3 of a mile and have made it 1/2 mile twice. So excited.

Ok, enough rambling – just wanted to wish you all a fantastic day!!!!

    K-Star!
